This would be me if I ever got my hands on an EU passport. Some girl in my class got one through Italian ancestors and I secretly hated her ever since.

To islands on the sea,
lands I’ve never seen,
things will get calmer—follow me.”
Eels - Beginner’s Luck (by Ghelthon
)
The road in front of us is long and it is wide
We’ve got beginner’s luck, we’ve got it on our side
With you I will and well I think I’m qualified
And with beginner’s luck we’ve got to take the ride
I’ve got a plan you know I’ve got it all worked out
And all you gotta do is pack your bags and check your doubts
You come around and you will see just what I am
Tomorrow I will board an airplane in the same baby blue t-shirt as 21 other people while wearing yoga pants and tevas. Shudder. Apparently in order to do some good in the world (a Habitat build in Honduras) I must first become every person that I’ve ever made fun of in an airport. I want to c’est la vie…but after 2 decades of being taught that you should always look put together and powerful while traveling I just can’t roll with these punches.
I have managed to say no to every variety of cargo pant though. Little victories.
